Limehouse Cut Lighting Scheme; A12 Bridge and Floating Towpath
Technical and Maintenance
Equipment used: Nine 150 watt ceramic discharge narrow beam units on the offside, together with seventy six T5 fluorescent 35 watt lamps for the floating towpath deck. We installed, and arranged for connection of, a new street feeder pillar to provide power as there was no suitable existing supply at towpath level.
Approximate running costs: Assuming an electricity supply price of 10p per kilowatt hour then 45p per hour giving an annual running cost of £1000 based on an average burning time of 6 hours per day. Two year re-lamping and cleaning cycle.
